Hi,
Just a little about myself for those who want to put a face to the name.
I come from Southampton which is on the South coast of England and whilst not quite a "Silver Surfer" I am a little grey round the edges. I live with Alan who has been my partner, soulmate and best friend since 1995.
Until 1998 I would have described myself as a "technophobe" but having gone onto the Internet it seemed a shame to waste all that free webspace and so the concept of "Alternative Windows" was born. I have been making curtains and other soft furnishings, both for friends and family and on a commercial basis, since the early 1970's and felt that other people might benefit from my expertise.
I have tried to make the instructions as simple as possible but am open to suggestions if you feel they can be improved upon. I also welcome suggestions of any additions to the site.

The picture on the right is of me together with Alan's grandson Robert who has his own little bit of web space so we can teach him about computers and the internet. He is saving emails from all over the world which he reads out to his class so do visit his little bit of cyberspace.
